Sermon transcription on your iPhone, with nothing uploaded
Sermonpage turns a recorded or imported sermon into a transcript using the speech recognition built into your iPhone or iPad. The audio never leaves your device.
From recording to transcript
- Record in the app, or import an M4A, MP3, WAV or CAF file.
- Sermonpage transcribes on the device. You can keep using your phone.
- Tap any line to play the recording from that point.
- Verse references become links to BSB, KJV or WEB.
Getting a cleaner transcript
- Sit near the speaker or a loudspeaker, away from fans and conversation.
- Keep the phone still, with the microphone uncovered.
- For a lecture or class, turn on lecture mode (Pro) so the transcript skips verse detection.
- Names and words over music are the hardest parts; tap the line to hear it and add a note with the correction.
Why on-device matters
Nothing leaves your phone. There is no account and no Sermonpage server, so a recording of your church, small group or class isn't uploaded anywhere. See the Privacy Policy.
Transcription questions
Does transcription cost anything?
No. Transcripts are free and unlimited.
Can I transcribe a recording I already have?
Yes. In the library, tap Import audio and pick the file from Files.
Is the transcript word for word?
It's close, but it can miss quiet speech, names and words over music, so check important quotes against the recording.
Sermonpage is coming soon to iPhone and iPad
Coming soon to the App Store, with a TestFlight beta first. Recordings stay on your device.
