Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026
The short version: the Sermonpage app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your audio, transcripts and notes stay on your device, or in your own iCloud if you turn on iCloud sync. Speech recognition and summaries run on your device. We don't collect your data, so we have nothing to sell or share.
This policy covers the Sermonpage app for iPhone and iPad ("Sermonpage", "the app") and this website.
What stays on your device
Sermonpage keeps these things in the app's own storage on your device:
- Audio: the recordings you make and the audio files you import.
- Transcripts made from that audio, and the Bible references found in them.
- Your notes, marks and tags, and details you add such as title, speaker, church and series.
- Outlines, summaries, key points and questions the app writes for you.
- Settings, such as your default Bible translation.
None of this is sent to us. There is no Sermonpage server and no Sermonpage account.
Transcription and AI run on your device
Sermonpage turns audio into text with the speech recognition built into iOS, set to work on the device. It never sends your audio to a speech service. Summaries, key points and questions (Sermonpage Pro, on supported devices) are written by Apple's on-device model; they are not sent to a cloud AI service. The Bible texts (BSB, KJV and WEB) are stored in the app, so looking up a verse uses no network.
Microphone and speech recognition
Sermonpage asks for the microphone only to record, and for speech recognition only to make transcripts on your device. You can turn either off in your device's Settings at any time. Recording stops when you tap stop; the app doesn't listen in the background otherwise.
iCloud
If you turn on iCloud sync, your library is stored in your own private iCloud account, so it can appear on your other iPhone or iPad. If you also turn on audio sync, a copy of each recording is saved to your iCloud Drive. That data is held by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we can't see or access it. If iCloud sync is off, your library stays on the device where you made it.
Sharing and exports
When you create a PDF or Markdown export, it is saved on your device until you share it. It goes only where you send it with the share sheet (for example Mail, Messages or Files).
Purchases
Sermonpage Pro is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether Pro is active on your Apple Account.
Crash reports
Sermonpage has no crash-reporting or analytics service of its own. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass along crash reports and usage statistics without your name. You can turn this off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Sermonpage doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Swipe to delete a sermon in your library to remove its audio, transcript and notes. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device. If you used iCloud sync, you can remove the app's iCloud data in Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
This website
The website (not the app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies or tracking you across sites. The website has no ads. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and protect the site.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
